Insects are fascinating creatures, but you still don’t want them in your home. It is crucial to act as soon as you see the first signs of an infestation!
Most common of the ants. They can be active day or night, summer and winter. Large black ants, 6 to 25 mm. They dig tunnels. The wood is not eaten.
Bed bugs are extremely adaptive and can be found in multiple type of situation. They bite the host for a blood meal, return to their hiding areas where masses of white eggs are laid. Inspection of home or areas is required as measures will vary from situation to situation. Adults’ bed bug can live for 10 months, but can live for more than a year if they have a good environment to feed.
Easy to identify. Their nest may be visible attached to a tree branch or under a soffit or the nest can be inside a structure of the house.
There are several types of roaches found in this area. The most common is the German roach. It thrives in areas with especially kitchen and food. There are several methods to control them. They go into the warm places (behind stove, fridge, and microwave). Preventing access to food and good sanitation are important steps for infestation control.
Usually found in homes with pets. Can also be found where wildlife such as raccoon, squirrel or skunk was. Live and take feed from blood of host and survive weeks without feeding. Common bites marks resemble that of mosquitoes but mostly around ankles and calves.
Very small and tiny reddish brown. Common in these areas. It is one of the most difficult ants to control due to the large numbers of reproductive females.
